Are Stackt movers insured?

All of Stackt movers ought to have all legally applicable insurances in place as part of our verification procedure before assigning them to any moving or storage booking.

Can I purchase extra protection for my items?

Accepted Answer

Please note that Stackt has liability in place for each box and piece of furniture to be covered up to £100 but not exceeding £10,000 for all items combined  against theft and damage for both moving and storage services. Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing we don't provide coverage for:
    
      Items which are irreplaceable or of high value requiring specialist storage and or treatment, such as currency, jewellery, bullion, furs, deeds, bonds, securities, works of art, antiques, fine wines, vinyls, items of personal sentimental value, or any other items where the value to You cannot be assessed on a financial basis.
      Electronic items like TVs, laptops and printers.
      Items of personal sentimental value
      Any prohibited items - (see ‘Are there any items Stackt does not store?’).
      Damage caused by the inclusion of liquids, perishable goods or any of the prohibited items listed.
      Electrical or mechanical damage to any appliance, instrument, clock, computer or other equipment unless there is evidence of related external damage.
      For any goods which have a pre-existing defect or are inherently defective.
      Fragile items that are not able to be packed into boxes, such as mirrors, frames, lamps, or artwork such as sculptures and paintings.
      Passports, credit or debit cards or important documents (including passports, tenders, share and option certificates).
      Jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones or metals.
      Fragile items such as crockery that have not been adequately packaged inside a box with sufficient bubble wrap or packing paper.
      Any other items not packed into double-walled cardboard boxes (excluding furniture items that can’t fit inside a box).
      Normal wear and tear, natural or gradual deterioration, leakage or evaporation or from perishable or unstable goods. This includes goods left within furniture or appliances.
      Moth, vermin or similar infestation.
      Changes caused by atmospheric conditions such as dampness, mold, mildew, rusting, tarnishing, corrosion, or gradual deterioration unless directly linked to ingress of water.
      Perishable items (including food and drink whether frozen, chilled or otherwise) and/or those requiring a controlled environment.
      Breakage of property packed by the Customer, unless the Box or container shows signs of external damage and Stackt have acted negligently in relation to such damage.

Question 3

How are Stackt's facilities secured?

Accepted Answer

When booking our storage service, your belongings will be kept in a clean, safe storage facility. Stackt's facilities are similar to Amazon warehouses in that they are well-organised, clean, and technically sophisticated. We do not publicise warehouse whereabouts for the protection of all clients' belongings. If your insurance requires it, we will be happy to liaise with them.

Question 4

How does Stackt keep my credit card information safe?

Accepted Answer

For moving, storage, cleaning, shipping and packing orders, Stackt uses bank transfers/Revolut merchandise/GoCardless/Stripe Payments. All online methods are secure and encrypted. Your Stackt subscription is processed automatically on your bill date using the default payment method on file.

How will my items be stored at the facility?

Once you book our storage service, our trained and qualified Warehouse Team will organise your valuables, barcode them for tracking during storage to ensure that they remain safe and clean and  will not be mixed up with those of other customers.

In the unlikely event of loss or damage of items during your moving or storage order, you can file a claim by contacting our customer service team and we will handle your request. Please ensure to review our Terms and Conditions to ensure your claim is valid and eligible to be considered.

Stackt movers go through an extensive background check procedure, such as past employment, driver licenses, criminal records, vehicle checks before assigning them to any moving or storage booking.

Where will my items be stored?

When you book our storage service, rest assured that your belongings will be stored in a secure and hygienic storage facility. Our facilities are akin to those of Amazon warehouses, featuring advanced technology and a well-organised, clean environment. For the safety of our clients' belongings, we do not disclose the location of our warehouses, nor do we allow customer access to the facilities. However, if needed, we can coordinate with your insurance provider.
