What happens next after placing my order?

Our Stackt team will reach out within a few hours from when your order has been placed. We’ll send you a questionnaire to get as much information as possible on the service selected. This will be about the stuff you need collecting/packing. We’ll also ask about the logistics on the collection day. For example, available parking, access, and the point of contact.

Are there any items Stackt does not store?

Liquids (including cosmetics & toiletries)
Alcohol (including beer, wine, liquor)
Items that emit smells or fumes
Illegal or controlled substances
Live animals or taxidermy
Firearms, guns, or ammunition
Flammable or combustible materials (no gases, explosives, or asbestos)
Hazardous materials (radioactive, chemical, or biological wastes)
Vehicles (boats, cars, riding lawn mowers, or anything with an engine)
Pool tables
Human remains
Grand or baby grand pianos (or upright pianos if stairs are present)
Grandfather clocks
Mechanical furniture that has not been professionally disassembled, including Sleep Number beds
Items that show signs of infestation, or are at a location with signs of infestation (insects, rodents, mould)
Items our team cannot safely transport (unusually heavy or bulky items)

Is there anything you won’t cover?

Please note that every box and furniture is covered up to £100 against loss, provided it's properly and securely packed. You can contact us if you wish to increase your coverage. We don't provide coverage for fragile stuff like glassware or crockery and electronic stuff like TVs and printers. There are some items we won’t cover:

Any prohibited items - (see ‘Are there any items Stackt does not store?’)
Damage caused by the inclusion of liquids, perishable goods or any of the prohibited items listed
Electrical or mechanical damage to any appliance, instrument, clock, computer or other equipment unless there is evidence of related external damage
For any goods which have a pre-existing defect or are inherently defective
Fragile items that are not able to be packed into boxes, such as mirrors, frames, lamps, or artwork such as sculptures and paintings
Passports, credit or debit cards or important documents (including passports, tenders, share and option certificates)
Jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones or metals.
Fragile items such as crockery that have not been adequately packaged inside a box with sufficient bubble wrap or packing paper
Items not packed into double-walled cardboard boxes (excluding furniture items that can’t fit inside a box)

What if I need more space?

Please reach out to us by any of our customer service channels and we will handle your request. Stackt also automatically adjust your unit size after we collect your stuff to ensure the most cost-effective solution. Our current unit sizes and storage prices are as follows:

4ft x 6ft = £24/week
6ft x 6ft = £36/week
6ft x 8ft = £44/week
8ft x 9ft = £64/week

What if I don’t know what unit size I want?

No problem, don’t worry just take your best guess when you book your collection. We will check and confirm once we’ve received your items in storage. If you end up storing more, we’ll simply update your tariff accordingly and let you know. Stackt also automatically adjust your unit size after we collect your stuff to ensure the most cost-effective solution.

What if I want to store my stuff for a shorter storage length?

Usually, Stackt storage is for a minimum of 1 month. However, please reach out to us by any of our customer service channels and we will handle your request.

The storage service is rolling month per month, therefore there are no issues for additional storing time. If you require early cancellation please check our cancellation policy.

Where do you store my stuff?

In a secure storage facility, your belongings will be kept safe and monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our top goal is the security of your belongings, which is why we work with best-in-class partners with decades of expertise.

Will you open my boxes?

We want your belongings to remain secure. Part of that strategy is to keep your boxes sealed. Only in extraordinary situations will we open your package. We'll do so if we feel there's a risk of harm to your belongings, injury to a member of our staff, or suspicion that the items you've stored are in violation of our Terms and Conditions. If your box is too heavy or improperly packed, or if you used your own boxes and they came apart on the route to our storage facility, we may open it and repack it. If we have to open or repack your boxes for any of these reasons, we will always notify you.

Once you choose the service you require, you will receive a 3-hour time slot and the driver will contact you once they arrive. It is possible, depending on availability, to ask for a specific 3-hour time slot.

Once my booking is confirmed, how do I receive confirmation?

You will promptly receive an email confirmation or other means of communication from our team if specified. If chosen to be contacted by email make sure to check the Spam folder just in case.

Can we rely on you to be on time?

If your driver is unable to reach you due to incomplete or inaccurate address information, or if you are not at home when the driver arrives, you'll have to request a new service, and you'll be billed for it again

Please double-check that your address is correct, including the correct postcode, so that the required service would be successful the first time. Please include any specific guidelines that may assist us in locating your address. If you've requested us to collect your belongings from reception, make sure you have their permission first and that someone will be present to hand them over.

If your driver is unable to reach you within the time-slotted window due to unexpected circumstances, we will reschedule your collection to the same address free of charge. Although delays are particularly unusual, they do occur. We recommend having your belongings collected at least two working days before you plan on leaving the country. If your driver is compelled to wait for more than 10 minutes for any reason, you will be invoiced for the time spent by the driver.

No, you will have to go through all the steps of the booking system to receive a proper quote.

Can you provide more men if required on the day of my move?

Normally, depending on the details provided to us for the service required, we would let you know in advance the number of people that would arrive to perform the service. However, it is the duty of the client to let us know beforehand if you wish to order additional men to execute the service. If you require more manpower on the day of your moving, please contact us before your move via our customer service channels promptly to arrange further assistance with the move.

Will there be any documents to sign?

If necessary, Stackt movers will have all of the required paperwork for you to sign during the day of the service delivery, including insurance documentation.

Can I cancel my booking?

Tell us of any changes. You can change your collection appointment and details up to 24 hours before your collection. If you reschedule or cancel your collection after 24 hours the day before, there’ll be a 50% charge, as we’ll have already scheduled your driver to collect from your address. In addition, you will then need to place a new order and will be charged again for the new collection.​
