Prepare for your move in three practical steps
Count what is actually coming
Walk through each room and separate belongings to move, store or leave behind. Use that smaller inventory to estimate packing supplies. Books, glassware and large furniture deserve their own notes.
Check the gaps before booking
Compare your dates, supplies and access arrangements. If you need storage between homes, check both collection and return delivery. A planning estimate is useful preparation, but it does not confirm a booking or price.

Moving out of a flat
Start with the moving planner, then check lift access, stairs and loading arrangements at both addresses. Estimate boxes after deciding what you will take. The packing calculator does not count your sofa or bed as boxes.
Leaving student accommodation
Select the student option in the planner for accommodation and university tasks. Think about where your belongings need to be next: at home, in another room or in storage between terms.
A gap between homes
Keep daily essentials separate from items going into storage. Use the space calculator for the stored inventory, then build collection and delivery into your moving plan. Check access arrangements before setting either date.
What to have ready before you start
You do not need a finished inventory to use these tools. A provisional moving date, an approximate home size and a quick look through your cupboards are enough for a first pass. Refine your answers after decluttering, and keep unusual or valuable items on a separate list for individual advice.
The moving planner saves only when you choose “Save on this browser”. The packing calculator starts with an example each time you open the page; download the result if you want to keep it. Neither new tool requires an account or sends your answers to Stackt.

Yes. The moving planner and packing calculator are free, with no email form, registration or payment needed. You can use their results without requesting a quote.
Do the tools book my move or order packing materials?
No. They help you prepare a plan and estimate supplies. Booking a service, buying materials or confirming storage arrangements is a separate step.
Can I use these tools for a move outside London?
The new planner and packing estimate are not tied to a London postcode. Local access rules and service availability vary, so check those separately for your addresses.
Can I use the tools on my phone?
Yes. Change the inputs and tick off tasks in your mobile browser. A saved moving plan stays in that browser; it does not automatically appear on another device.
